China Group Visa

China Group E-Visa

Are you planning to visit Beijing, Shanghai or other exciting destinations on mainland China? If so, you will need a visa before embarking on your sightseeing trip or tour. The regular tourist visa application process can be lengthy and arduous, but fortunately, there is a much simpler route to obtaining a China visa. It is called the Group E-Visa, a tourist visa that is issued to two or more people travelling together.

What makes the visa application process so simple is that it is entirely online. You do not need to visit a Chinese embassy or a Chinese consulate, nor do you have to provide your fingerprints. As an authorised seller of China visas in Australia, our website makes the process even easier with our straightforward online form.

A China group visa application is very different from an individual application in that it is one visa for all. This means it covers every member of a group for entering and leaving mainland China together and can be used by Australian citizens travelling to China as a couple, in a tour group, with friends, on a school trip or a package holiday. Previously, this travel document was for a minimum of five people.

This unique China visa for Australia is a single entry visa and allows you to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days after arrival, only for tourist purposes. If you don't meet its requirements, for example, if you plan to leave China and then re-enter, please take a look at our China Tourist Visa page.

How Do I Apply for a China Group E-Visa?

The China visa application process couldn't be simpler. All you need to do is spend a few minutes filling out our simple online application form, and we will do the rest for you. The China visa processing time for this document is 2 - 4 days. Once it is issued by the Government of China, we will send it to you via DHL or Fedex at least 15 days before your departure.

The visa is on a sheet of A4 size paper instead of a visa sticker on an individual passport. On it will be the names of each traveller in your party.

What Documents Will I Need?

To obtain your visa, we will need the following:

  • A digital copy of your passport. You do not need to send us your original. Remember your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
  • Proof of your onward travel - typically evidence of your return air fare tickets.
  • A recent digital photo of each traveller.
  • Proof of your hotel booking for each night of your stay in the country.
  • A complete list of all the travellers in your China tour group.

Summary of Key Information

  • Your party must consist of two or more people.
  • All members of the group must enter and leave China together.
  • The Group E-Visa is a single entry visa, not a multiple entry visa.
  • You must enter China within 15 days of your China group visa being issued.
