What Are The Requirements For A China Business Visa?

  • A copy of your passport cover.
  • A scan of each page of your passport.
  • A recently taken passport-sized photo.
  • Proof of your hotel or other accommodation.
  • A Chinese visa business invitation letter. This will be from your Chinese business or trade partner, authorised Chinese institutions/organisations or a trade fair. It needs to include details of the purpose of your visit and of the person or entity that invited you.
  • Proof of your return air tickets.
  • Entry at Shanghai Pudong Airport

  • Your passport should have at least six months validity from your arrival date, and there must be at least one blank page for stamping.
  • If your passport was issued in 2015 or later, you will need to provide copies of your previous one.
  • The Chinese business visa is for single entry through Shanghai, and you can remain in the country on your business trip for up to 15 days.
  • With this visa, you are required to spend at least one night in a hotel in Shanghai, Jiang Su or Zhe Jiang province.
  • You must enter Shanghai within 30 days of the issue date of your business visa for China, or it will automatically expire.
  • This travel document is only for business purposes. If you are coming as a tourist to sightsee or visit family and friends, you will need either a China Tourist Visa or a Group E-Visa.
  • The visa must be printed in colour.
